RPA

Introduction to RPA

1.What is Robotic Process Automation?
A software or technology which mimics human actions to perform sequence of tasks without human intervention is known as robotic process automation.

2.What is Robotic?
When a machine mimics human action, it is called robotic.

3.What is process?
A sequence of steps are required to perform a particular task is known as a process.

4.What is Automation?
Any task is done with human intervention, is termed as automation.

5.Differences between Automation and Robotic Process Automation?
✧ Automation
Automation involves the invention of a new software Or technology for automating a particular task.
eg:- ATM machine, Calculator.

✧ Robotic Process Automation
RPA doesn't involve the invention of a new software Or technology for automating a particular task.

✧ Automation
It require human intervention.

✧ Robotic Process Automation
It doesn't require human intervention.

❥ Earlier process automation used to be about
Click training
Screen Scraping
Macros

✵ Today RPA is all about
Object oriented.
Capable of operating on multiple systems.
Capable of complex data based decision.
Capable of process execution.
Neural network training.
Cognitive models and robotic decision making.

✵ Checklist to identify processes suitable for RPA

Rule -based process.(Doesn't depend up on human judgement).
Digital trigger initiated process and must be supported by digital data.
Functioning and stable process.
High volume process.
