Some business processes that needs to be automated may involve entering data or using keyboard keys.

One such example is registration process where you need to your personal information to register.

To automate such processes, Automation Anywhere provides the insert keystrokes command.

Insert keystrokes command supports the following languages:

-> German, Italian, French and Spanish.

Note: Before using the Insert key strokes command, verify that application window is open.

First Use case of Insert Keystroke Command

A team manager needs to extract system information of his team mates and
send it to the IT department for updating certain software in their laptop every three months.

Solution
You need to use Insert keystroke command to extract the system information in a text file.

Process Step Flow
->Open Notepad -> Enter the OS and Machine name.

Benefits of using this command

Use this command to automate the typing of keystrokes in an application and
apply shortcut keys to perform a menu function or other common functions in an application.

Note:

When using this command, ensure the application to which you want to enter the information is opened prior to using the command.
